Senior Designer
My name is Katie Pelosi and I have been working as a Graphic Designer for 20 years. I have worked in advertising, publishing, as a freelancer and for a design studio.
I love working in a collaborative environment where ideas are able to bounce around but I am also able to work independently and manage a project from concept to completion.
I enjoy forming strong client relationships and working along side them to achieve design outcomes that meet both the clients satisfaction and the needs of the project.
At home, I have two cheeky children and an even cheekier german shepherd dog who always manage to keep life interesting!

Advertising Junior
Einstein Da Vinci was an introduction to the world of advertising. I was lucky to have an insight into client management, production management, finished art, client alterations and a bit of coffee making.
2008 – 2009
Boylen+
Junior Designer
At Boylen+, I was able to delve deeper into the craft of design and get ‘hands-on’ experience working on a range of publications and print applications. Some of clients I worked for include the Motor Trade Association of SA, Australian Hotels Association, West Torren’s City Council and the SANFL.
2009 – 2015
Brighter
Senior Designer
During my time at Brighter, under Brenton Murray’s mentorship, I was able to grow from a Junior Designer into a Senior Designer. My time here gave me the opportunity to work directly with clients and with a small team of talented designers who were able to help hone my skills.
I worked on everything from packaging, publications, mailers, catalogues, signage and branding. Some of the larger clients that I was involved with include Hamilton Sunscreen, Golden North Ice Cream, Wallmans Lawyers, Royal Society for the Blind, SeaLink and Cancer Council SA. In 2012 I obtained my first AGDA award for typography for the Building Designers Association.
I began my Master’s Degree through RMIT where I was able to graduate with distinction in 2014. When my husband and I moved to Perth, I continued to work for Brighter remotely while also working as the Business Development Manager for the WA branch.
2015 – Ongoing
Mother to Sage and Luca
In this position I was able to develop my skills with crayons, paper mache and hama beads. I was introduced to being responsible for another life which meant doing things, well, that all mothers have to do! It has been a wonderful ride so far.

Hamlen
Freelance Designer / Part-Time Senior Designer
Freelance work became a steady stream of experience in-between changing nappies. It provided me with the opportunity to follow branding projects from inception to completion for various projects and clients. In 2019, Hamlen employed me on a part-time basis to oversee their rebrand and to brand their on-going development projects, including their biggest, East and Co. During my time at Hamlen I’ve been very fortunate to pick up 3 awards for my work consisting of two PADC Bronze Skulls and one AGDA finalist award.
