Valued Lives empowers people with disabilities to design their own support services which gives them more choice and control over their own lives.


The Brand Agency was engaged to rebrand their logo, visual identity and tagline. We wanted this brand to capture the individuality of each and every person in the Valued Lives community. To show the strength and beauty of perfect imperfections and how that shapes the collective whole.


To accomplish this, we designed handcrafted characters, each in a different style, to create a unique logo mark that embraces individuality. We then expanded it into typeface that could be used on key items of brand collateral to encourage further individualisation. The tagline ‘The Life I Choose’ became a key asset and instead of appearing in a traditional logo lock-up, it was used more like a sticker where the application is personal choice.


To continue the theme of choice, we also created a suite of patterns and colours that were designed to give Valued Lives members the power to reflect their own personality through the brand.
